Tank's Tap Room - International drink Guinness Day

International drink Guinness Day at Tanks!!! Like you need a reason to drink Guinness by the gallons. One of only three Guinness endorsed bars in Tampa Bay for St. Patty's Day. Tanks will also have their famous homemade corned beef, cabbage and potatoes, green and regular beer, Irish whiskey, Irish car bombs, raffles, giveaways and everything else Irish on St. Patty's Day.

The Clearwater Municipal Marina will host a piece of American history. The 500-year-old Nina ship, a replica of a ship Christopher Columbus that was used to sail to the New World will be docked at the Clearwater Marina for families to board and take in a bit of history! Greek Folklife Workshops, September 2010-May 2011 will include the following: Bouzouki classes with George Soffos, September-November 2010, & February-April, 2011; Cooking of the Dodecanese Islands—the area from which most local families came; Kalymnian traditional songs; Classes in lyra, a 3-stringed rustic violin played in Crete and the Dodecanese Islands.

Kalymnian Traditional Songs with Irene Karavokiros

Sundays, 12-2pm, September 19, 26, October 3 and 10, 24, 31, Heritage Museum. Irene Karavokiros grew up on Kalymnos, where her maternal family frequently sang traditional Kalymnian songs. She will teach many of the older Kalymnian songs, including those sung for weddings and other important occasions.
